Dazhbog

was the Slavic sun god, known as Dabog to the Serbs and Dazbog to the Poles. Son of Svarog, the god of the sky, and brother of Svarazic, god of fire, he was born again every morning and rode through the sky on his diamond chariot until he became an old man in the evening. In some versions he is married to Myesyats, the moon, and quarrels between them are said to cause earthquakes.
